Facebook Data Deletion Instructions

Artikel uses Facebook Login to provide a fast and seamless registration and login experience for our users. In compliance with Facebook’s (Meta’s) Platform Terms and developer policies, we provide this guide to clearly explain how you can remove your Facebook-connected data and request the complete deletion of your personal information from our servers.

If you no longer want to use Facebook to log into Artikel, or if you wish to completely remove your associated data, please follow the steps below.

Step 1: Remove App Access on Facebook

First, you need to revoke Artikel’s access to your Facebook account.

1. Log in to your personal Facebook account.
2. Click on your profile picture in the top right corner and select Settings & Privacy, then click Settings.
3. In the left-hand navigation menu, scroll to the Your activity section and click on Apps and websites.
4. Scroll through the list of active apps to find Artikel (or use the search bar).
5. Click the Remove button next to the Artikel app.
6. A prompt will appear asking you to confirm. You can also select the option to delete any posts, videos, or events Artikel may have posted on your timeline. Click Remove to finalize the disconnection.

Note: Completing this step successfully removes our app’s active access to your Facebook account going forward.

Step 2: Request Full Data Deletion from Our Servers

Removing the app from your Facebook settings stops future data collection, but you may also want us to permanently delete any historical data (such as your name, email address, and profile photo) that we already have saved in our database.

To request full data deletion, please contact us directly:

• Subject Line: Facebook Data Deletion Request
• What to include: Please provide the exact email address associated with your Facebook account so we can locate your profile in our system.

Once we receive your email, our team will permanently delete your user account and all associated data from our servers. We will send you an email confirmation once the data deletion process is complete.
